Enjoy a 25 minute scenic drive from Pambula, through the forest, along Mount Darragh Road, to visit our monthly market.
You will enter the village through a commemorative 'Ancestral Avenue' of claret ash trees, in memory of those loved and lost. A picturesque and charming village awaits you, surrounded by forested hills and impressive granite outcrops, the Jingera Rock monolith to the south, being the most prominent.
Wyndham Village Market has been operating monthly since 1990 and is known for its friendly, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. It is an 'all weather' market, held in and around the School of Arts Hall, 8.30am to 1pm, on the 4th Sunday of each month.
The heritage-listed School of Arts Hall, built in 1888, hosts an impressive gallery of historic photos in the supper room and a collection of relics, documents and memorabilia is housed in the Visitors Centre, offering a glimpse into days gone by.
The market has a diverse and interesting array of stalls, with organically grown and local garden produce, pickles, jams, preserves, home-baking, plants, organic skin products, essential oils, lavender products and freshly made coffee.
You may also find an array of handmade goods, including creative cards, soft toys and winter warming knits, as well as collectables, jewellery, books, tools and rustic bric-a-brac.
Various local community groups alternate in providing catering from the hall kitchen, each offering their own unique style, from bacon and eggs and sausages on the BBQ to Devonshire Teas with hot scones fresh from the oven.
Each market hosts a busking 'Music Maker of the Month' featuring local musicians who delight and entertain visitors to the Market. Seating and tables are always set up so that you can sit, catch up with friends over great coffee and food, and enjoy the music and the atmosphere of our friendly market.
